About André Roos

Andre Roos qualified as an optometrist in 1973 and started as a junior partner in what later became PG Roos & Andre Roos Optometrists in Bloemfontein. After a year in Hawaii doing missionary work, he returned to start his own 3 practices for a franchise group. In 2012 Andre came to Pietermaritzburg and managed a large optometric group practice for just short of 5 years and then worked for himself until he was approached by Darrell Hopkins (from Neovision Athlone Circle) and decided to join this absolutely dynamic group.

Andre has been married to Ina since 1977 (that is a massive 43 years) and they have 3 grown sons and 4 grandbabies.

Andre would like to tell one and all that he's really excited to be part of this dynamic growing group of optometrists that are changing the face of optometry by bringing unmatched affordability, with no small print (commonly called T’s & C’s) to the table.

He has a special interest in helping learners at all levels perform better and at the same time managing myopia (Short-sightedness) creatively.
